Jeff's Acting Classes (Technique 1-23 & 1-24 Teen Groups)

Arielle and John Michael 2010

Today's classes focused on helping students rediscover the power of the five senses. I brought in a bag with various sensory objects. An orange, a piece of fabric, chocolate, stuffed animals, flashlight, made sounds and asked them to be aware of any memories from their life that it triggered. After which students worked on personal objects. These are objects of strong personal value from life that they re-create sensorially. It can be a pet that they lost, or a piece of jewelry, etc. Students are asked to tell of how they got it, why they got it, why they keep it? Etc. I had incredible work from all my acting classes. It was personal and powerful stuff.
